In 1990, Alberto Lysy invited him to study together at the Menuhin Academy in Gstaad, Switzerland, where he worked under the direction of Yehudi Menuhin, Igor Oistrah, Ruggiero Ricci, Nikita Magalov, Jean-Pierre Rampal and Pierre Amoyal.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">He received awards in the most prestigious international violin competitions in the world: &#8220;Lipizer&#8221; Contest in Gorizia (Italy) and &#8220;Molinari&#8221; Competition in Switzerland (1991); &#8220;Reine Elisabeth&#8221; Competition in Brussels (1993); &#8220;Dong-A&#8221; Contest in Korea (1997); International Competition in Indianapolis, USA (1998); Juilliard-Mendelssohn and Nakamichi-Wieniawski Competitions, USA (1999). In 1999 he debuts at Lincoln Center&#8217;s Tully Hall from New York with Juilliard Symphony. He perfected in New York with professor Dorothy Delay and violinist Itzakh Perlman.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e3482a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e3482a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>He sang as a soloist with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Westdeutsche Sinfonia, Belgium National Orchestra, symphonic orchestras from Athens, Bari, Buenos Aires, unde the baton of Yehudi Menuhin, Yuri Simonov, Andrew Litton, Peter Braschkat, Georges Octors, Cristian Mandeal, Lukas Vis, Horia Andreescu, Mario Benzecry \u015f.a.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">He attended numerous festivals (Aspen, Menuhin, Enescu, Salzburg, Wallonie, Flanders, Buenos Aires, Ascoli). He was assistant for the Dorothy Delay class until 2001 at Juilliard School in New York. He recorded violin concerts for the Claves recording label. He graduated the contrabass class of the National University of Music in Bucharest (prof. Ion Cheptea), then was active in the Cluj Philharmonic (1981-1992) and in parallel, as contrabassist soloist for Italy\u2019s International Orchestra (1987-1992), and during 1992-2003 he had the same position at the Munich Philharmonic.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">In 1998 he was a reader for the Nurnberg Music Academy where he became a professor in 2003. He perfected his skill at Weimar with Professor Mez\u00f6 L\u00e1szlo and he was the assistant of master Radu Aldulescu at masterclasses. Marin Cazacu is a recipient of international competitions in Geneva, Markneukirchen, Leipzig, Bologna, and Belgrade.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">Since 1983 he has been a soloist of \u201cGeorge Enescu\u201d Philharmonic in Bucharest and has an intense activity both in Romania and abroad under the batton of great conductors: Ghenadi Rojdestvenski, Sergiu Comissiona, Lu Jin, Nanse Gum, Cristian Mandeal, Horia Andreescu, Antoni Ros Marba, Mendi Rodan, Misha Katz, Jean P\u00e9risson.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-21ccf4a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"21ccf4a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>He played together with exceptional artists such as Vladimir Orlov, Valentin Gheorghiu, Radu Aldulescu, Mihaela Martin, Mirel Iancovici, Ilia Grubert, Jeremy Menuhin and as a member of \u201cPro Arte\u201d band and collaborator of the \u201cVoces\u201d quartet, as well as at grand European festivals (Munich, Berlin, Milan, Venice, Valencia, Bratislava, Sofia).<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">Since 1992 he has been teaching cello at the National Music University in Bucharest. In 1998 he founded the \u201cCellissimo\u201d quartet \u2013 together with Alexandra Gu\u0163u, R\u0103zvan Suma and Olga M\u0103nescu \u2013 a group with which he performed at festivals in Venice, Mateus (Portugal), Macao, Singapore, Istanbul, Madrid and Romania, and he holds recitals with his students from 8 to 12 cellos in the group \u201eVioloncellissimo\u201c. He was a scholar of \u201cStudienstiftung des deutschen Volkes\u201c and recipient of several international trombone competitions. Stefan Geiger started his career as main trombone player at Bayerische Staatsoper M\u00fcnchen and shortly he became a trombone and chamber music professor at \u201cHochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater\u201c in Hamburg.<\/span><br><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">As a conductor he has been interested both in new music and classical repertoire, collaborating with renowned orchestra such as \u201cSinfonieorchester des Norddeutschen Rundfunks Hamburg\u201c, \u201eW\u00fcrzburger Philharmoniker\u201c, \u201eN\u00fcrnberger Symphoniker\u201c, \u201eOrquestra de C\u00e2mara da Cidade de Curitiba\u201c, \u201eParan\u00e1 State Symphony Orchestra\u201c and \u201eEnsemble Resonanz\u201c.<\/span><br><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">Since 2002, the artist has been conducting \u201cLandesjugendorchester Bremen\u201d \/ Bremen Youth Orchestra, with which he had remarkable success. With the support of \u201eNorddeutscher Rundfunk\u201c, he is also involved in projects for the famous \u201cdas neue werk\u201d concert series.<\/span><br><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: transparent;\">He was for the first time invited in Romania in 2011 where he worked with the \u201cRomanian Youth Orchestra\u201d at the \u201cEnescu and the World\u2019s Music\u201d International Festival, organized at Sinaia.
