Romanian Sinfonietta,Orchestra debuted in 2010 at the “Enescu and the Music of the World” International Festival. The orchestra is conducted by Horia Andreescu and was founded at the initiative of Marin Cazacu, the famous cello player and professor, together with Junior Orchestra and the Romanian Youth Orchestra.
The desire to play classical and romantic masterpieces started because young Romanian musicians had to come close to great symphonic music and also because they had to be brought together in the most impressive creative work, implying individual and collective responsibility.
The orchestra is made up of young musicians with ages from 16 to 20, selected at a national level, and it was invited to perform at Sinaia, Bușteni, Câmpina, Brașov, Sibiu and Bucharest.
The first successful performances quickly calm. Thus, after the preparation in Sinaia in August, Romanian Sinfonietta Orchestra performed at the “Magic Summer“Festival in 2012 and 2013. In 2012 and 2014 the orchestra had the honor to perform together with Elisabeth Leonskaja, an accomplished pianist.
